A legend says that this flower was thereby named after a knight, who was walking with his lover along a river, fall into the water when he tried to pick one. While he was drowning, he throw the flower to the woman and said “forget me not”.

A lot of other stories connect it with the loss of a loved one, thus it is usually linked to memory and remembrance.

  1. Oooh, I really like flower photos like that, with the focus on the flower and a blurry background!

Personally, I think the story is hilarious: I imagine the knight throwing the flower into the face of the woman while screaming maniacally X’D

(nbtw.: writing comments here is rather hard, because the box is white and text is light grey … which makes is rather hard to see x) Can you make the text at least dark grey?)

    1. Thanks, I’ll put more of those then =)
Well, you see he was a true brave knight as he’s the only person I’ve ever heard about who manage to stay super calm and romantic while drowning x)

(took me some time to find out how to do it (had to create a child theme with custom css) but finally I’ve solved that problem, thanks to have pointed it^^)
